Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PricePin during our private beta in Australia. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Private beta

• Access may be invite-only. We may change, suspend, or end the beta at any time.
• The service is provided "as is" without uptime or accuracy guarantees.
• We may reset or delete test data during the beta period.

PricePin community data

• Prices and product information come from community members via receipt uploads, barcode scans, photo-tags, and manual reports. They are not verified by retailers and may be outdated or incorrect.
• The app is not financial or shopping advice. Always verify prices in store before you buy.

Your conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or malicious receipt uploads, price reports, or photos.
• Abuse voting, flagging, or moderation features.
• Harass other users or scrape or reverse-engineer the service without permission.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use, display, and store your reports and photos in connection with operating and improving the app.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or harm the community.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the beta, including reliance on community-reported prices. Our total liability is limited to AUD $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater), if permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in NSW.
